Civil Division

The Civil Division of the Utah County Attorney's Offices acts as the legal advisor to all of Utah County's Government Entities. The Civil Division provides legal counsel, drafts contracts, and provides advice to the County Commission, the county Auditors Offices, the Recorder's Office, the County Attorney, any other elected county officials, and the various county departments, boards, and agencies.

The Civil Division Chief leads 5 Attorneys, 1 Paralegal, and 2 Legal Assistants.

The Civil Division defends all actions and claims brought against Utah County. It also prosecutes all action for the recovery of Debts, fines, penalties, and forfeitures accruing to Utah County. Their team also drafts, checks, and validates any contracts written and offered by the County.
